2019 November DITL: Under Construction

We are in the middle of some home renovations this November! Can't wait to see how they all turn out.

CC thinks it's too early, but she was the one who decided to wake up at 5 am! The end of Daylight Savings Time has been a rough transition for this little one.

A quiet early-morning house

After breakfast, we get dressed and this girl is now all smiles! She's very proud that she can scoot down the stairs all by herself now.

Big brother L creates a game to play together

Mama sorts the laundry. This is the last day we'll have laundry access in the house-- part of the project is to create a combined bath/laundry room downstairs.

A big truck comes and unloads what will be new gutters for the roof!

The littles are excited about the truck

Making special birthday notes and eating bananas

Getting ready for the bus means throwing every single mitten across the floor, obviously

Drop the littles at daycare, then take L for an appointment

We have a consult for orthodontics-- no surprise to anyone that he will need expansion in both jaws! He'll have a very expensive mouth

Drop L at school and head home to complete some work projects

Construction is going on downstairs, with lots of loud banging and drilling

Check the weather report-- we're supposed to get a few inches of wintry mix (this never shows up and we only just get a light freeze overnight)

Time to bring the kiddos home from daycare!

We have the construction site blocked off from entry

But this is what it looks like on the inside...

Get out leftovers to make a quick dinner-- egg skillet with rice, broccoli, and chicken

While I cook, L reads to little J

We all sit down to eat together
B and Daddy show up just in time to collect some to-go burritos I made for them, and they head out for choir rehearsal with L.

CC is not happy that I need to finish the dishes

But she's all smiles when we cuddle on the couch

Watch some Netflix

Brush teeth (in the new sink! finally!)

Read some stories

"Night, night!"

Both littles are in bed, and I head back downstairs to wait for the big boys to come home

Finish cleaning up the kitchen, and hang out on the couch.
Then it's time to read Harry Potter and head to bed myself!
See you in December, DITL!
