It was a busy, fun-filled, week-before-Christmas SNOW DAY!
Start the day with coffee, please
CC is having so much trouble waking up!
Can't figure out what's bothering her-- getting sick? cutting teeth? an existential 18-month old crisis?
She calms down with a cookie and a ride on her rocking horse
Meanwhile, brothers are practicing Christmas carols
And giving CC hugs to help her feel better... awww
Start a load of laundry in my NEW laundry/bathroom! It's not completely finished, but I love it!
Since it is a snow day, and they've finished most of their chores... the big boys get to have screen time.
They select an extra special card...
... and write a note to their pen pal in Japan!
It's time to go to daycare, but CC thinks she can stop us if she lays on all the hats and mittens.
*daycare drop-off happens*
Come home and take a first attempt at shoveling the sidewalk and front steps.
Also head out in the wintry mix for some necessities
Make a new type of Christmas cookie
Enjoy the beautiful view
And wrap some Christmas presents
I take a minute to enjoy the quiet, before...
... logging in remotely for my meeting
A package arrives!
And our plow guy clears the driveway
Every day, more presents are placed under our tree. Preparing for the Best Christmas Ever!
Laundry is folded, Christmas cards are addressed and posted, and the house is cleaned up before everyone else arrives home.
There's time to make a quick dinner of nachos
CC is happy to be home!
Screen time is had after dinner
But once the kitchen is cleaned up, the boys and Daddy spend time writing and addressing holiday cards to their teachers.
CC and Little J read "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" before they head to bed
J and I end our night on the couch, watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Goodnight, December and Goodbye 2019! See you in 2020!
