We spent the morning skiing with the big boys and the afternoon having fun with family! A great March day.
First things first-- breakfast
And play with all the cool toys at the grandparents' house
A quick roll of Pass the Pigs before...
... we hit the road, headed to Snow Ridge!
Donuts as a mid-morning snack
And then we get our tickets and rentals
Trying on ski boots is hard work
All suited up and ready to hit the hill!
L needs a little help getting his skis on
Check these boys out!
So awesome
One ride up the lift with L (7 years old)...
... and another ride with B (9 years old)!
It's a beautiful day-- 30+ degrees and sunny, but the wind is gusting and bitterly cold
That doesn't stop the boys from having tons of fun!
There's a brief moment where a ski comes off, but that's quickly fixed and he's back to tearing down the slopes
Before long, both boys beg to ride the lift independently, so I stand in the sun and shout at them as they ride up the mountain
So grown up
Making careful and beautiful turns
After a long morning of skiing (where we had the whole hill to ourselves), we head inside to warm up
There's hot cocoa and PBJ sandwiches and two very happy boys
Heading home!
We all fall asleep
And this lady has been (not so) patiently waiting for us to return
Set up bread dough in the mixer
J makes grilled cheese sandwiches as a 2nd lunch
Upstairs for diaper changes and nap time
CC practices standing with the radiator
She gets herself into very interesting locations
Boys (who have changed into pajamas) set the table for dinner
Preparing for the littles to join us-- the PDR makes the best booster seat
Dessert is an ooey, gooey chocolate caramel torte!
It's plate-licking good!
We measure how much the boys have grown using Nana as a reference
CC flies!
G-Nana and Jamie play cars
Everyone heads to bed early after a long, fun day!
See you in April, DITL!
