It was a very Happy First Birthday for this rainbow girl!
Our birthday celebrations usually start with cake for breakfast, but we changed things up slightly using pancakes, whipped cream, and sprinkles.

Mama is still trying to make the headband work... CC is having none of it.
CC's birthday also happens to be the last day of school, so we take a celebratory last day photo! The boys have all grown and changed so much during the school year and are looking forward to summer vacation!

Brother J insists on having his picture taken too, but all his photos turn out blurry. This is the best one we got.
School's out for the summer! Time for swimming in the pool.
We have a mish-mash picnic of chicken nuggets, homemade bread, and a rainbow fruit/veggie platter as our end-of-year dinner.
Then we cut into the cake!

Now time for presents! Aunt Karen was able to join us for the end of our birthday celebrations and helped CC open her gifts.
Then we FaceTime with both sets of grandparents for her birthday.
What a lucky girl she is, and what a lucky family we are to have her with us!
