We spent the holiday with friends at Lake Bonaparte. It was a hot, sunny day-- perfect for swimming and water sports!

The ice cream boat drives by, so of course we need to flag it down!

CC goes down for her long(er) afternoon nap
Soon she's up and hungry for lunch! She devours at least 10 ravioli
Then she needs to get cleaned up and cooled off in the lake. She splashes and squeals with joy.
The annual boat parade (2019 theme: Armed Services tribute) meanders past, honking and waving.
More snacks for CC-- cheddar rice cakes, watermelon, and as much hummus as she can sneak into her greedy mouth

These two boys have been having a great day!
Papa arrives with a trailer load of rocks to rebuild the shoreline, so it's all hands on deck to help with the heavy work!
We head back over to Steps and Decks, and the boys relax with some screen time in the bunk room
Meanwhile, the littles are keeping G-Nana busy!
Everyone is sunburned and tired after a long day in the water.
Mix up a cocktail for the Fourth-- using a British recipe!

Before bed, we light some fireworks from the end of the dock and watch the amazing displays from the rest of the lake.
