We made a weekend trip to Massachusetts to visit friends and celebrate a first birthday.
Morning begins with boys on screens.
And multiple breakfasts.
Little girl is being irritable
Take some time to clean up the bedrooms
Set boys up with a list of chores, and they work diligently to cross off their tasks.
Piano practice is included
Try to get CC to nap, with little success
B highlights his Frozen, Jr. score
Packing for the weekend occurs!
Lunch of leftovers is served
Devouring happens
Although we've worked so hard to clean up the house, CC can't resist dumping out all her toys while we are packing the cars. Oh well.
Get on the road, hoping for children to take long naps (Spoiler alert: They didn't)
We're here! We beat the snowstorm
Party prep happens, and the kids have tons of fun playing with the balloons
Miss E and CC share a sweet moment
On our way to the party!
Luckily, it's a short drive.
We have tons of fun!
The Paw Patrol vehicles were a big hit with Super J
CC loved running around and getting into everything
The big boys liked wrestling each other in the bounce house, playing ping pong, and sliding down the huge slide.
Time for the celebrations
The fathers enjoy the ability to spike their hot chocolate!
After singing "Happy Birthday", the kids devour the cupcakes
We play a little more after the party to burn off some sugar energy
Big boys race each other on little trikes
It's hilarious, but slightly dangerous
We have a slightly white-knuckled drive north to NH, where we get some fast food dinner and check into our hotel. B admires the hotel artwork.
CC admires/devours chicken nuggets
Everyone gets changed for swimming!
After swimming, we get cozy in our pajamas and watch Moana
Good night, big boys and CC!
Good night, Super J!
Good night, DITL.
The next morning we had more fun in the pool!
See you in February.
